Childcare Assistant This post is filled for 2010, but one of our former students is looking for a nanny, so you may like to consider this:-

'Looking for a British nanny in Milan
We are looking for a British (or an English mother-tongue) nanny in Milan. We live in via Settembrini (near Corso Buenos Aires). Our child, Martina, is a nice 18 months sweet girl.
She likes to listen to the music, to dance ("if you are happy clap your hands") watching English dvds, going to the park…
We need a smiling nanny from 10.00 am to 18.00 pm from Monday to Friday starting from September 2010. Our nanny, Martha, will go back to London in june /july 2010 after one year together. She had a great experience with us!!
If you are interested please contact me at this email
manuela_magliulo@yahoo.it or mobile 3201111211
thanks Manuela'

The following was was our text for 2010.

Are you good with young children?

Being a CHILD CARE ASSISTANT (to help me with my three 9 year-old sons during the period of the Courses.)

Duration and Outline Description of the Work

The total period of employment is from Friday 9 July to Sunday 15 August (both dates inclusive). During this time the nature of the work changes as follows:-

(1) From Friday 9 July - Sunday 19 July (inclusive), the ChildCare Assistant will look after and play with the children at home and the Schools from breakfast until bedtime. They will need to be put to bed and 'babysat' thereafter until I return home. Generally this will be between 21.00 and 22.00.

(2) From Monday 19 July - Sunday 15 August (inclusive), the boys will be at Supercamp from 08.30 to 17.30 every weekday. On weekdays, the daytime will be free (although the ChildCare Assistant is welcome to join in with life at the School as a member of the Sports Crew.) The ChildCare Assistant will be required to look after the boys at the Schools and at my home from 17.30 until bedtime and 'babysit' thereafter. At weekends during this period (1) applies.

Accommodation and Meals

The post is resident with an en-suite bedroom at my home. All meals are provided at the Schools.

Pay

Pay is £1850.00 (one thousand eight hundred and fifty pounds) for the duration of the employment. Payment is by cheque at the end of the Course. If they wish, staff can be paid a 25% advance by cheque at the end of the first week, to be deducted from the final balance. As employment is temporary, we are not at present required to deduct PAYE from British staff at source unless they are ordinarily resident in the UK and, therefore, liable to PAYE. Staff must advise us if they are ordinarily resident in the UK. Anyone defined as a ‘student’ for this tax year is not liable to PAYE. Deductions will be on a ‘Week 1/Month 1’ basis. NI is deducted at the prevailing rate.

Suitability

I am looking for someone who is kind; patient; fit; sporty; outgoing; fun; not shy; not afraid of hard work; able to take responsibility and to supervise; as willing to tackle menial tasks like sorting laundry as to participate in sporting activities.

If this appeals, please complete only the questions in the online form that are applicable. If I wish to take your application further, I shall contact your referees and invite you here for interview. I shall pay your rail fare at the ‘saver’ day-return rate. If appointed, your acceptance of the contents of this information sheet together with my letter offering the post and your acceptance of it form the contract. As there is responsibility for and substantial access to children, a check is made with CRB. An explanation is requested for any gaps in CVs.
